First, set up a new server on Discord or obtain administrator role on an existing one. For convenience in following steps, it's recommended to log into your Discord account via a web browser.
Click the โ+โ icon in the left navigation bar to add a server.
Select an existing server template or design your own, then specify whether your server is for a small group of friends or a larger community. Finally, name your server and upload a profile image to complete server creation.
Click the gear icon next to your username and profile image to access settings. In the APP settings section, go to the 'Advanced' tab and enable Developer Mode by toggling the Developer Mode selector.
Then you need to create a bot, visit the dedicated Discord Developers page at https://discord.com/developers/. Open this link in a new browser tab without logging out of your Discord account. Start by creating a new application. Within this application, establish a bot, configure its permissions, and then add the bot to your server.
To get your bot's token, click on the 'Bot' tab from the left navigation bar and select 'Reset Token'. Make sure to save this token securely, as you will need to paste it into SynVision later.
Then toggle on the gateway intents for your bot and remember to save all the changes.
Next, navigate to the "OAuth2" tab and authorise your bot by selecting at least the following checkboxes.
Copy the authorization link you've obtained and paste it into your browser to grant permissions to the designated server.
After completing the above steps, go to the channel you created earlier, copy the bot's User ID, and keep it secure.
Log into SynVision and paste the bot's token and User ID you saved earlier into the respective input boxes. Save your changes and click 'Connect' to activate your chatbot on Discord.
Now you can @ your bot in Discord channel and kick off the chatting!
